How to Video

When in Multi-User mode GeMMA applies an Owner to each mailing cell. Ownership is applied to stop multiple installations from incorrectly processing mailing cells that others may already be working on.

The Owner of each mailing cell is displayed via a new Owner column in each tab:-

The initial Owner of a mailing cell is assigned when a mailing cell is imported. The image above shows an icon of a person in the Owner column (Owner icon), this icon shows the current installation as the Owner of all mailing cells on the Mailing Cells tab. The Owner of a mailing cell is able to process a mailing cell as normal using the Select Column checkbox controls.

However, other installations will be unable to interact with mailing cells they do not Own:-

The image above does not show the Owner icon in the Owner column, therefore the current installation is not the Owner of any of the mailing cells on the Mailing Cells tab. Note that the Select column checkbox controls are also not visible making the interaction with these mailing cells impossible.

However, although the current installation isn't the Owner they can explicitly take Ownership. To take Ownership of a mailing cell either right mouse click or double click in the Owner Cell of a mailing cell:-

When Ownership is taken the Owner icon is applied to the Owner cell and the Select column checkbox controls are enabled:-

By hovering the mouse cursor over an Owner cell a hint is displayed showing the current Owner:-
