Project Definition

A Project Definition file holds all the information used to run a sort, it can be edited or created and then subsequently used via the User Interface, via CMD or via the API. Essentially, the User Interface is a Project Definition creator with additional validation.

Generally Developers Toolkit users will use a base Project Definition in combination with command line switches or API calls, however, some users will want more control than this can offer. This can be achieved by editing a Project Definition or by creating a Project Definition.

To aid the creation of a Project Definition file which is an XML (Extensible Markup Language) document you can use our Project Definition XSD's (XML Schema Definitions). These can be used to create and validate the contents of a Project Definition file programmatically.
